A NEW GENERATION

The BMW ALPINA XB7, the luxury performance SAV from the ALPINA automobile manufactory, combines driving dynamics, precise handling and luxurious comfort like no other automobile. Starting with the 2023 model year, the BMW ALPINA XB7 benefits from a host of product updates, including the latest V8 engine generation, an even sharper, progressive design and the most up-to-date driving assistance systems and connectivity options.

Progressive design

The new front view is dominated by a modified light design with horizontally-separated twin headlights. In addition, the “Iconic Glow” kidney grille adds a fresh design accent: a waterfall of light draws attention to the trademark BMW kidney grill.

Superior road holding

The two-axle air suspension allows for a remarkable and noticeable 40 mm (1.6“) change in ride height, depending on driving situation and Mode selection. When selecting SPORT mode or at speeds above 160 km/h (100 mph), the ride height is lowered by 20 mm (0.8“). The ride height is lowered another 20 mm (0.8“) for a total of 40 mm (1.6“) beyond speeds of 250 km/h (155 mph) or when selecting SPORT+ mode. The resulting lower centre of gravity and changes in suspension geometry, with associated increases in negative camber, have a significant positive effect on dynamic handling and road holding.

Ride comfort & driving dynamics

The BMW ALPINA XB7 offers a wide variety of driving experiences, ranging from plush ride comfort to advanced, race-inspired dynamics. The technological basis is provided by the ALPINA Sport Suspension. Through extensive development efforts the ALPINA engineers have adapted the powerful eight-cylinder engine specifically to the ALPINA drivetrain philosophy.

New cockpit

The latest generation of the BMW iDrive adds a new, digital dimension to the vehicle-driver interaction. In the cockpit, the large curved display allows the digital instrument panel and the central control display to merge into one unit. The gauges of the digital instrument panel are in the iconic ALPINA Blue. In SPORT and SPORT+ mode, easily read green drag indicators provide a design accent.

New engine generation

Header 2 [callout1]

The BMW ALPINA XB7 model update now features the latest V8 engine generation with BMW mild hybrid technology. The V8 engine with bi-turbo charging generates 457 kW (621 hp) from 4.4 litres of displacement. A characteristic feature is the high torque output of 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) which is available from just 1,800 rpm all the way to 5,400 rpm. The engine’s high power reserves are effortlessly and readily available at all times, which is what the superior ALPINA driving experience is all about.

ALPINA CLASSIC 23" forged wheels

Header 2 [callout2]

Beautiful 23“ forged-alloy wheels in the iconic ALPINA CLASSIC 20 spoke design and finished in Anthracite are optionally available. Their high-strength, high-density construction as a result of forging allows a significant weight saving of 13 kg (28 lbs) per vehicle. The largest wheels in ALPINA’s company history are a true design highlight.

Ultra-high performance tyres

Header 2 [callout3]

In collaboration with the experts at Pirelli, the high-performance summer tyres for the 23“ wheels have been explicitly developed and specified for the BMW ALPINA XB7. Measuring 285/35 ZR23 at front and 325/30 ZR23 rear*, they provide impressive grip, but still meet the high demands placed on ride comfort that is typical of ALPINA automobiles.

Integral Active Steering

Header 2 [callout4]

The Integral Active Steering offers direct steering response with exceptional feedback and improves overall agility. The rear wheels can pivot a maximum of 2.3° left or right increasing agility at low speeds and aiding maximum directional stability at high speeds. The driver can choose from three steering modes: COMFORT, SPORT and SPORT+. While in COMFORT mode the focus is on smooth directional stability and safety at higher speeds while the SPORT mode aims to maximize responsiveness.

Active Roll Stabilization

Header 2 [callout5]

The electromechanical anti-roll bars on the front and rear axle reduce body roll substantially when cornering and on uneven road surfaces – a major safety and comfort plus. When driving straight ahead, the stabilization system allows full suspension comfort.

Leistungsdiagramm XB7

Stated fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are measured pursuant to EU Regulation 715/2007 in its applicable version. From 1st of September 2018 the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) has replaced the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
From January 2021 onwards, European Union member states are required to ensure that new passenger cars offered for sale, for lease or exhibited in showrooms or similar, are clearly labelled with consumption and emission data according to the new WLTP test cycle. Work is currently underway on the amendment of the German regulatory framework which governs the implementation of this European Union obligation in German law, its final completion however is still outstanding. For a number of new vehicles, NEDC consumption and emission values are no longer available, it is therefore reasonable that the more realistic WLTP consumption and emission values are provided to customers instead.
The official manufacturer consumption and emission values have already been determined on the basis of the new WLTP test cycle and, for some models, calculated back to NEDC test cycle for information purposes. The WLTP values are used for the assessment of taxes.

All technical data apply to the German market, additional international units of measure shown in the technical data for the purposes of information only. Further information on specific fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of new passenger cars is provided by the ‚Leitfaden über den Kraftstoffverbrauch, die CO2-Emissionen und den Stromverbrauch neuer Personenkraftwagen‘ which can be obtained free of charge at all points of sale and from the Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT) or online https://www.dat.de/co2/.

Modifications and errors excepted.
